First off, the singers were LaRouchians.
Second, Joe Lieberman was caught by several calling Lamont a "goddamn sonovabitch" after the debate, and this was recorded (supposedly, we don't know). See Jane Hamsher specifically at FireDogLake - FIREDOGLAKE - Lieberman calls Lamont "goddamn sonofabitch" post-debate.
To start off the debate, Joe Lieberman made some joke about I have a cold so don't kiss me. There wasn't supposed to be an opening statement, asshole.

Senator Mark Pryor (DINO-AR) Supports Lieberman Independent Bid; Lincoln Won't Say

According to
Newsday, Senator Mark Pryor, a man who calls himself a Democrat in Arkansas, will not be supporting the democraticly elected Senate Democratic nominee, Ned Lamont.
Instead, he announces today that he will support his good buddy, fellow Democrat-in-name-only, Joe Lieberman.
"The Democratic Party needs moderate voices," Pryor said. "I'm for Joe Lieberman whether he's a Democrat or an independent."
Joe Lieberman is no moderate. He is an arrogant prick and a Neocon a lot like Dick Cheney.

Pryor said he would tap into his own war chest to help Lieberman. He asked staffers Wednesday to research campaign finance rules regarding transferring money from one campaign to another. ...
Shame, shame, shame.

"I think that people know that I support Sen. Lieberman, given the respect I have for him and the things he's been able to accomplish, the things he stand for," Pryor said.
Bullshit. He stands for the same course in Iraq and in America.

Howard Dean has issued a strong letter today in support of the Democratic candidate for the United States Senate to represent Connecticut, Ned Lamont.
In it, he is particularly harsh to Joe Lieberman, who wishes to be the Ralph Nader of this race.
Dear Fellow Democrat,
Ned Lamont -- that's the name of the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate from Connecticut. He defeated Senator Joe Lieberman yesterday in a hard-fought primary election.

Did the Lieberman Campaign Just Break The Law?

Joe Lieberman has sent out his campaign spokesman, Sean Smith, multiple times today to
accuse Ned Lamont and his supporters of hacking their campaign website, joe2006.com.
Smith even filed a complaint with the Attorney General, who issued this statement:
"I have received a complaint from Sen. Lieberman's campaign asking my office to investigate the hacking of his campaign web site. I will investigate potential violations of anti-hacking provisions of our state computer crimes laws that are specifically within my jurisdiction. I will also work with the State Elections Enforcement Commission, and state and federal criminal authorities concerning possible violations of state election statutes, and federal election protections and other laws. We will seek civil and criminal penalties, where appropriate."
