Atty: 'DC Madam' left instructions if 'found dead of apparent suicide'

Sat Aug 09, 2008 at 11:44:20 AM PDT

Exclusive: 'DC Madam' left instructions if 'ever found dead of apparent suicide' By Lori Price 10 Aug 2008 Citizens For Legitimate Government has learned that Deborah Jeane Palfrey's lawyer, Montgomery Blair Sibley, has intervened to stop a lawsuit seeking to prevent the Tarpon Springs, Florida, Police Department from releasing information requested by Sibley pertaining to the investigation of Jeane's death.

Does Anyone Really Believe This Was A Suicide

Thu May 01, 2008 at 02:46:12 PM PDT

It seems that the "DC Madam" kllled herself today.

The ''D.C. Madam'' hanged herself Thursday, two weeks after she was convicted of running a call-girl ring that catered to Washington's power elite.

The body of Deborah Jeane Palfrey was found in a shed near her mother's home about 20 miles northwest of Tampa. Police said the 52-year-old Palfrey left at least two suicide notes and other writings to her family in a notebook, but they did not disclose their contents.

Palfrey apparently hanged herself with nylon rope from the shed's ceiling. Her mother discovered the body.

Are you buying this?

DC Madam Suicide Suspicious

Thu May 01, 2008 at 12:18:09 PM PDT

"It was her, and she's deceased," said Frank Ruggiero, a public information officer with the Tarpon Springs Police Department. "There's no question that it was a suicide."

Considering the DC Madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey, could reveal her  embarrassing client list of the rich and powerful (they say mostly Republicans--and some hint of a Cheney connection), for the police to immediately say "no question that it was a suicide" is kinda suspicious. A lot of powerful and well-placed men would want her silenced to prevent her from revealing their names. At the very least, a full autopsy and a thorough CSI investigation of every fiber and evidence in the crime scene is a requirement. Also, her body was found at a shed...curious.

DC Madam found dead

Thu May 01, 2008 at 10:28:37 AM PDT

This isn't much of a diary, really. CNN, Fox News, and the Associated Press are all reporting that Deborah Jeane Palfrey, known as the "DC Madam" in the national media, has been found dead in Florida in an apparent suicide. Palfrey had been awaiting sentencing after being convicted in April of Federal racketeering and money laundering charges.

Although I certainly don't mean to condone prostitution, Palfrey's death sounds like a terrible end and my deepest sympathies go out to her family. Rather than condemning those in the prostitution industry for being amoral and cash-driven individuals, I think we need to ask ourselves more about the cultural and economic conditions that give rise to prostitution in first place. There would not be a market for these sorts of services if people didn't feel the need to turn to them for sexual gratification.

I don't really have anything else to say.

Speaking of Prostitutes ...

Mon Mar 10, 2008 at 06:50:09 PM PDT

Republicans and the Media are focusing on Spitzer's indiscretion.  But what happened to the "thousands of names" from the DC Madam investigation?  Were they ever released?  Why isn't the media obsessing on the "White House officials" supposedly named in that list?

DC Madam Seeks Vitter Subpoena

Sat Nov 03, 2007 at 07:23:35 AM PDT

Ah, nothing like a little David Vitter news to spice up an otherwise dull Saturday morning.

In a Times-Picayune front-pager, T-P Washington correspondent Bill Walsh relates that an attorney for Deborah Jean Palfrey, popularly known as the "D.C. Madam," has asked the U.S. District Court judge in Washington to subpoena Sen. David Vitter to determine the precise nature of Vitter's activities with one of Palfrey's escort employees.

Details--and schadenfreude--below the fold.

GOP hypocrites

Fri Aug 31, 2007 at 12:28:52 PM PDT

There was a diary on this yesterday, and it's probably redundant to bring this up again, but I believe that one of the great strengths of the grassroots is our willingness to call attention to issues and stories generally ignored by the mainstream media. So though a diary was already written on the discrepancy between the GOP's treatment of the Senator Vitter - DC Madam case and the Sen. Craig case, I feel that it is important that we here continue to express our outrage at this unabashed display of the GOP leadership's hypocrisy.

The D.C. Madam on Larry Craig!!!

Tue Aug 28, 2007 at 08:59:18 PM PDT

The D.C. Madam never bashed gays, or even denied the sexual nature of the activity she pursued for 13 years.  Today she offered a strong yet strangely sympathetic response to the case of Senator Larry Craig.

Worse than Craig? New D.C. Madam interview!

Republican kink isn't new -- and there's more bombshells to come.  That's the D.C. Madam's promise in this new interview!

Did John Boehner Use DC Escorts?

Mon Jul 30, 2007 at 10:08:43 PM PDT

For the last week and a half, the Ohio blogosphere has been abuzz with talk that a Republican member of the state's Congressional delegation used the services of the same DC Mada that David Vitter used. Now, Down With Tyranny has decided to name names, and it's a BIG one.

Dick: A John, and keeping up with Newt?

Mon Jul 23, 2007 at 02:05:30 PM PDT

A few weeks ago, I shared a widely circulated DC rumor:  Dick Cheney was a client of the DC Madam.

Dick "John" Cheney on her List Too?

This rumor has taken two forms in DC:   One form denotes Dick as a Sex-Work client himself.
The second form denotes him as a Buyer of Sex-Work as gifts for visiting business men.    And my source was a GOP attorney who does damage control spin for such subjects.   He believed Cheney would need spin.

So, in light of the stunning idiocy the nation faced when the GOP Noise Machine spent north of a Million dollars in private investigations and $13,000,000.00+ in Ken Starr staff time to finally uncover President Clinton had a  Blow Job, I thought perhaps investing a little of my time would be worthwhile.

Larry Flynt about to drop another bombshell: "I was shocked"

Wed Jul 18, 2007 at 10:39:16 AM PDT

If Larry Flynt is shocked this should be interesting who his next hypocritical victim is.

Right now, it doesn't look like Democrats be picking up a Senate seat in Louisiana, at least until Vitter's New Orleans hooker cough up a blue dress (or whatnot) and after all the anti-abortion legislation getting signed by the DINO Louisiana Governor Blanco, it may be a repub either way.

As to the right-wing outrage at Republican Vitter's infidelity or his crooked penis and/or his beating off in the sink, I have yet to hear about it.  Or am I mistaking Vitter's penis with Bill Clinton's penis that they LOVED to discuss?

I wish I had the scoop on who the next Senator is but this is all we have right now and politicalwire.com seems to have gone up and down due to this pre-scoop scoop.

D.C. Madame's prostitute Pictures....

Mon Jul 16, 2007 at 06:33:32 PM PDT

It is always good to have a visual when hearing the stories of the D.C. Madame and her prostitutes....

I went through some extensive research to track down what these women actually look like and who they service.
